As we all know too well, keeping Kamp Kalorie in top shape costs money. This includes things like upkeep, but it also includes more pressing requirements like taxes and other bills (electric and telephone). As Kamp Kalorie belongs to all of us, it is also the responsibility of all of us to take care of these bills. No single individual or family should be required to foot the bill for a place that is enjoyed by all.
For this reason, I have taken the liberty of setting up a PayPal account that is linked directly to an account where monies can be collected and distributed for payment of these bills and any other expenses that might come up. This can also include future upgrades to the existing Kamp or boathouse. For the sake of transparency, statements of these contributions and distributions will be available on a private, family-only, password-protected page (koming soon).
As stated, this Kamp belongs to all of us, and it is the responsibility of all of us to maintain it. Any little bit helps, but keep in mind that PayPal does charge a fee for their service, so if you choose this convenience, please include the 3% charged by PayPal to cover their costs. I’m going to include a handy calculator on this page for your convenience.
And for any stranger that happens to stumble upon this page, we accept donations from you as well. It won’t be tax deductible, but it will make you feel great knowing your kontribution has gone to a pretty good cause! 🙂
